Epoxy Countertops

Since our dishwasher destroyed our kitchen while we were gone we decided to replace our cabinets, countertops, and floors and paint our walls too.

We're converting our boring tile countertops to new Disney themed.  The new countertops are going to be made of epoxy in two layers.  We will start by painting our new countertop material (MDF board or plywood) with black paint primer.  Then, we will pour a layer of epoxy with black glitter mixed in.  After removing the air bubbles with a blow torch, it's time to add the real magic.  We are hand placing Mickey Mouse shaped black holographic sequin glitter randomly on top of the first layer.  The project is finished up by sealing with a clear coat of epoxy as the final layer.   We've only done a sample so far but can't wait for the final product.
